FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, PLEASEYOUR THEATRE INC. ANNOUNCES SEPTEMBER PRODUCTIONNew Bedford - Your Theatre will present "RUMORS" by Neil Simon on September 15, 1999 through September 25, 1999 at the Maxfield Street playhouse.The production is being directed by Judy Lemay of New Bedford. The stage manager is Robin Richard of New Bedford, set design by Edward J. Maguire of Fairhaven, and lighting design by Lawrence R. Houbre, Jr. of New Bedford. The play is set in the townhouse of a deputy mayor of New York City. He and his wife have invited four couples over to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary. The party never begins because it is revealed that the host has shot himself in the head and his wife is missing. His lawyer decides on a cover-up, which gets progressively more difficult to sustain as the other guests arrive and nobody can remember who has been told what about whom.
