FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, PLEASEYOUR THEATRE INC. CASTS "BLACK COMEDY"New Bedford - Your Theatre will present "BLACK COMEDY" by Peter Shaffer May 30 to June 9 at the Maxfield St. playhouse.Directed by Edward J. Maguire from Fairhaven, the cast includes Michael J. FitzGerald, Jr., Patty Carreau-Souza, Carol Oliva and Gil Cardona-Erazo from New Bedford, Eddie Camara from Acushnet, Cheryl Day from Fairhaven, Clifford Wood from Assonet, and Stephen R. Kay from Swansea. The play centers around Brindsley, an unscrupulous sculptor who has embellished his apartment with furniture and objects d'arte "borrowed" from the absent antique dealer next door, in hopes of impressing his fiancee's pompous father and a wealthy art buyer. As blown fuses plunge the apartment into darkness, the neighbor returns and Brindsley is impeded by his guests, unexpected visitors, phone cords, and other snares in his frantic attempts to return the purloined items before light is restored.
