FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, PLEASEYOUR THEATRE INC. ANNOUNCES MAY PRODUCTIONNew Bedford - Your Theatre announced today that "SYLVIA" by A. R. Gurney will be presented on May 8, 2002 through May 18, 2002 at the playhouse on Maxfield Street.The production is being directed by Edward J. Maguire of Fairhaven. The stage manager is Lawrence R. Houbre, Jr. of New Bedford. The play is a modern romantic comedy about a marriage and a dog. Greg and Kate move to Manhattan after twenty-two years in the suburbs. His career winding down, Greg brings home a dog he found in the park. The dog, Sylvia, becomes a major bone of contention between husband and wife, putting the marriage in serious jeopardy. After a series of hilarious complications a compromise is reached and Sylvia becomes a valued part of the family.
