FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, PLEASEYOUR THEATRE INC. ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR "WIT"New Bedford - Your Theatre, Inc. announces auditions for the leading character of the Pulitzer Prize winning play Wit by Margaret Edson. The play will be directed by Cynthia J. Messier. Auditions will be held at the theatre, 71 Maxfield St., corner of Purchase St., in New Bedford, on Sunday, April 13 at 1:30 P.M.Wit is under consideration for production in YTI's 2003-2004 or 2004-2005 season, dependent upon whether or not the pivotal character, Vivian Bearing, can be cast. The role requires a very talented actress able to portray a 50 year old professor who is hospitalized with terminal cancer. The actress playing this role will be required to shave her head and appear naked in one extremely brief tableaux at the end of the play.
