FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, PLEASEYOUR THEATRE INC. ANNOUNCES AUDITIONSNew Bedford - Your Theatre, Inc. announced today that auditions for the "27 WAGONS FULL OF COTTON" by Tennessee Williams will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 21, 2003. The auditions will be held at the theatre, 71 Maxfield St. in New Bedford.Director Dennis Amaral is looking to fill several roles, both male and female, ages 20 or older. Experience is not necessary, materials will be provided. The play concerns one night in Mississippi when Jake slips away from his house. Later, the cotton gin on the neighboring plantation burns down and Jake is given all those wagons of cotton to gin out. Flora, his loving wife, suspects that Jake burned the gin, but he beats her until she accepts his alibi that he was home the entire night. When Silva, the gin's owner, pays a visit, Flora lets slip that Jake was gone when the fire broke out, and Silva discovers the truth.
