FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, PLEASEYOUR THEATRE INC. ANNOUNCES AUDITIONSNew Bedford - Your Theatre, Inc.'s announces that auditions for "MEDEA" by Euripides will be held at 7:30 P.M. on Wed., August 25, 2004. The auditions will be held at the theatre, 71 Maxfield St. in New Bedford.Director Edward J. Maguire is looking to fill seven male roles, ages 18 or older, and seven female roles, age 20 or older. Also, roles are available for two boys, one around ages 6 and 10. Experience is not necessary. This ancient thriller deals with Medea whose husband has cast her aside so he can marry the King’s daughter. This union has been sanctioned by the King who, knowing of Medea’s reputed magical powers, has given her until sundown to leave his kingdom. Through treachery and deviousness, Medea gains revenge by bringing about the death of the King and his daughter. Yet, it takes a final evil to sate her desire for revenge.
