| YTI announces cast for Don't Drink the Water | |||
NEW BEDFORD, MA -- Your Theatre, Inc. announces the cast and production team for its third major production of the 63rd season. Directed by Lawrence R. Houbre, Jr. of New Bedford, Don’t Drink the Water by Woody Allen opens on Thursday, January 21st and run through Sunday, January 31st at the YTI Playhouse. The cast for Don’t Drink the Water features Suzanne Bergeron, Mark Fuller, Eric Paradis, Robin Richard, and Margaret Scott-Taylor, Al Vitale all of New Bedford, Cheryl Day, Edward J. Maguire, Linda Landry-Pires and Tony Oliva of Fairhaven, Michael McGill of Tiverton, RI, Wade Martin of Berkley and Tyler Rowe of Dartmouth. This hilarious comedy takes place inside an American embassy in an unnamed country behind the Iron Curtain in the 1960’s. An American tourist, a caterer by trade, and his wife and daughter rush into the embassy two steps ahead of the police who suspect them of spying and picture taking. It's not much of a refuge, for the ambassador is absent and his son, now in charge, has been expelled from a dozen countries and the continent of Africa. Nevertheless, they carefully and frantically plot their escape, and the ambassador's son and the caterer's daughter even have time to fall in love.
